By accessing or using Urlyx ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
2. Description of Service
Urlyx provides:
- URL shortening services with analytics
- Secure note and code sharing (pastebin)
- QR code generation
- API access for developers
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice.
3. User Accounts
3.1 Registration
To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Maintain the security of your password
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
3.2 Account Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.
4. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree NOT to use the Service to:
- Distribute malware: Links to viruses, trojans, ransomware, or other malicious software
- Phishing: Create deceptive links to steal credentials or personal information
- Spam: Mass distribution of unsolicited links or promotional content

- Hate speech: Content promoting violence, discrimination, or hatred

- Fraud: Scams, pyramid schemes, or deceptive practices

- API abuse: Excessive requests that overload our systems
Violation of these policies may result in immediate account termination without refund.
5. Subscription and Payments
5.1 Free and Paid Plans
We offer both free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans provide additional features and higher limits.
5.2 Billing
- Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
- Payments are processed securely through Stripe
- Prices are subject to change with 30 days notice
5.3 Refunds
- Annual subscriptions: Pro-rated refund within 14 days of purchase
- Monthly subscriptions: No refunds, but you may cancel anytime
- Refunds are not provided for accounts terminated due to Terms violations
5.4 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time. You will retain access to paid features until the end of your billing period.
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 Our Content
The Service and its original content (excluding user content) are and will remain the exclusive property of Urlyx and its licensors.
6.2 Your Content
You retain ownership of content you create (URLs, notes). By using the Service, you grant us a license to host, store, and display your content as necessary to provide the Service.
6.3 DMCA
We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content on our Service infringes your copyright, please contact us with a DMCA takedown notice.
7. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
8. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
- Warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
- Warranties regarding the security or accuracy of the Service
We do not guarantee that shortened URLs will remain active indefinitely. Free accounts and unused links may be subject to expiration.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, URLYX SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
- Damages resulting from unauthorized access to your account
- Damages from third-party content accessed through our Service
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you, if any, for the Service during the twelve (12) months prior to the claim.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Urlyx, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights
- Content you submit through the Service
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Urlyx operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
